Metro Detroit’s premier classical guitarist and guitar instructor offering professional guitar lessons and live performance services since 1992. Steven Dearing is a Detroit Music Award-winning professional classical guitarist with a Masters Degree in Guitar Performance from Wayne State University and over 30 years of teaching experience. Former university professor who served on faculty at The University of Windsor and Macomb Community College. Offering weekly one-on-one private instruction for all ages and skill levels in classical guitar, electric guitar, folk guitar, and finger-style guitar. Available for both online lessons and in-person lessons at Farmington Hills studio. Teaching philosophy based on conservatory music fundamentals including music reading, music theory, ear training, and guitar technique. Also available to hire for live classical guitar entertainment at weddings, corporate events, and private parties throughout Metro Detroit.
