My client a global software provider to the banking and insurance industry is seeking an experienced talented and highly motivated Lead Business Consultant. Role responsibilities and duties include Identify and develop the business case for the client with prospective customers Conduct and facilitate customer evaluation studies and provide the business input to customer evaluation reports To conduct and facilitate customer workshops for detailed identification of business requirements. To gather and manage the business requirements throughout the life of the project using appropriate methodologies such as use cases Liaison with the clients technical consultants and analysts to ensure the alignment of the business and technical needs and that all aspects of the customers requirement are explored in sufficient depth to provide the appropriate solution. Liaise directly with our customers to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of our software solutions To flag scope creep or scope change to the project manager (from initial fit gaps to requirements and also during subsequent phases of the project To identify the customers business configuration requirements initiate and support them in implementing these requirements. Conduct process mapping and business process re engineering where appropriate to refine business benefits for the customer To carry out all sign-offs for analysis development Testing to ensure the customers requirements have been understood and developed as documented. To identify and provide appropriate training solutions for the customer. On-going liaison and relationship management with customer s business representative throughout the project. Essential skills and experience include Experience in a Product based environment Strong background in banking or insurance industries a distinct advantage Software and project implementation experience essential Experience working in a vendor environment on client sites Customer focused with the ability to link the clients solutions to customer requirements Project management skills would be an advantage but not essential Workshop facilitation presentation skills Experience of documenting and communicating business requirements Planning and prioritisation skills as well as strong communication skills Willingness and flexibility to travel when required.
