Leading 3d Studio with its own motion capture setup is looking for a Senior or Lead Animator to lead new projects teams of other 3d artists. You will need 5 years experience some as an Animation Lead or Senior to apply. Duties Produce animations to client quality standards and in accordance with project timescales. Report to the Production Manager on progress and raise any other issues that may need to be addressed. Ensure animation content created is consistent with the style set out for the characters cut-scenes etc. and overall game Cg movie vision. Lead animation team to ensure consistency in animation application and when necessary liaise with other project team members in relation to project tasks. Ensure that all work is named in accordance with the project file naming protocol and organised in line with the company s file management system. Undertake research prior to the commencement of a new project. Acceptance of the Creative Director s vision and willingness to follow and implement their directions to a standard that reflects the direction. Promote good animation practice and be willing to share knowledge experience with others. Offer solutions to problems to maximise the efficiency and contribute to the overall development of the project. Flexibility of animation styles. E.g. realistic movement cartoon mo-cap and free-form Ability to review analyse and critique teams work to ensure more efficient utilisation of production time. Understanding and utilisation of more complex scripts Ability to direct animators as well as being able to step in to any stage level of any animation project and complete such tasks to a highly Skills Required Proficient knowledge of 3d animation (Maya or Max Previous experience in a similar industry would be highly desirable but not essential. Good interpersonal skills and experience of working in a creative team. Self-disciplined and proactive approach to work. Able to promote good animation practice. Qualifications A 3d animation related qualification would be desirable but not essential.
