What is Jambalaya?
Description
Jambalaya is a rice meal with meat and vegetables that has its origins in Louisiana and is influenced by both French and Spanish cuisine. In addition to one or two other meats, traditional Jambalaya recipe nearly invariably include some type of smoked sausage (like andouille sausage). Onion, celery, and green bell pepper make up the "holy trinity" of veggies, which are typically used. More often than not, you'll find loads of rice, a variety of prepared meats, and fewer veggies.
