Apparel Production Manager (Downtown, Los Angeles)

We are an established wholesale apparel company, Untouchable Clothing, Inc., based out of downtown, Los Angeles, focusing on the young men?s contemporary market. We are affiliated with Roar Clothing and Purr Clothing. Our company has very high standards and expectations, and rewards those who can GET IT DONE. Our company is seeking a production manager who takes ownership, is dependable, and can work in a fast paced environment. We are looking for a full-time candidate. Necessary skills: 1. Microsoft Office proficient 2. Experience with production function 3. Dealing with overseas vendors 4. Completing purchase orders and managing process from beginning to end 5. Negotiate pricing with overseas vendors 6. Take charge of receipt of goods and deal with transportation brokers to coordinate incoming visas, bill of ladings, etc. 7. Inputting sales orders (our system is ?AIMS? ? Apparel Information Management System). 8. Responsible for coordinating pre-production samples, top-of-production samples 9. Responsible for coordinating ticketing with overseas vendors and domestically 10. Manage EDI framework for orders received in this format (VERY important) Qualities: 1. Organized, neat 2. Punctual, reliable 3. Can deal with ambiguity 4. Initiative, self-starter 5. Positive energy, goes above and beyond 6. Responsive and available 7. Energetic 8. Detail Oriented The candidate would report directly to those in charge of the organization and would be given a great deal of responsibility if the candidate is capable, and more important, willing. It should be evident that this position offers many different opportunities to see different sides of the business. No question there will be a learning curve, and the appropriate support and guidance will be provided. We do, however, operate on a sink or swim mentality and are seeking the individual who understands that.
