Financial Data Manager Needed Everyone knows how to use excel, somewhat. We need an excel wizard, not an excel handyman. We re an investment research firm in need of a data manager to develop financial database analysis tools. We will use data from FetchXL (http://www.fetchxl.com) and other sources. Please visit their site before submitting your resume. We will provide the data manager with the questions; the manager will provide the answers using the data sources that we provide. We need to know your comfort level with the skills required to lead an investment research effort using their data. A good candidate will have professional excel and database management skills. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in using computers to identify investment opportunities. You do not need a degree in IT, computer science, math, engineering or logic but it might be helpful. Good starting wage with the opportunity for quarterly bonuses and increases in the base wage. Are you a talented user of visual basic macro development? Are you familiar with techniques for manipulating large databases? Do you have knowledge of securities analysis, Monte Carlo, and other toolpaks? Can you develop graphical representations of data beyond Excel defaults? Have you worked with theoreticians to implement algorithms and develop programmed shortcut buttons to facilitate support staff updates and analyst data searches?
