Operations Assistant, Hedge Fund (United Kingdom, London)
Description
Our client is a leading hedge fund which has 1.2 billion under management based in London. The client requires an Operations Analyst to join a team of 5 covering a wide range of duties and reporting to the Operations Manager. Products include equities options futures convertible bonds and Fx options. Reconciliation of external accounts positions P&L. Cash input of trades journals into system. Investigation of settlement breaks. Checking trade confirmations. Reconciliation of internal accounts positions and cash. Dividend and other corporate action processing. Stock Loan reconciliation and processing. Writing and updating operating procedures Project work as directed relating to operations and risk areas. Liaising with prime brokers and counter parties on daily basis. Support trading desks on daily basis. High volume of trades. Work in a multi-national team. Broad Range of products equities options futures Otc convertible bonds Fx options. Skills Experience Trade assistant or operations background ideally required. Good understanding of fixed income products Investment banking custodian or hedge fund experiences an advantage. Educated to degree level with a mathematical qualification. Sound interest in hedge funds and financial markets. Strong work ethic. Confident telephone manner. Ability to pick up systems and work on an ad hoc basis
